The physician assistant program in the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University was ranked among the nation’s best in U.S. News & World Report’s 2013 Best Graduate Schools guidebook.
Quinnipiac ranked 11th among universities offering physician assistant master’s degrees.
“This ranking reflects the hard work and dedication of our faculty and students,” said Cynthia Booth Lord, clinical associate professor and director of the physician assistant program. “Our commitment to the education and training of PA students focused on clinical excellence, leadership, professionalism, service (to the community) and cultural competence prepares Quinnipiac graduates to provide high quality patient care amidst an ever changing healthcare landscape.”
The publication asked program directors and faculty to judge the academic quality of programs in their field. The two most recent years’ ratings from professionals were averaged to compute the assessment scores. In addition, the qualities that students and faculty bring to the educational experience were evaluated as well as the graduates’ achievements linked to their degrees.
The 2013 edition of the Best Graduate Schools guidebook will be available on April 3.
