Congratulations to Francesco Scarano and Zachary Tabak, the 2014 NHSC scholarship recipients!
The North Haven Soccer Club recently awarded $500 scholarships to two graduating high school seniors who are members of the soccer club. The annual scholarships are awarded to candidates based on participation and service to the club, their scholastic record and an essay describing what soccer has meant to them.
Francesco will be attending Sacred Heart University in the fall where he plans to major in biology and pursue a degree in physical therapy. He was a tri-captain of the high school boys soccer team, an in-town referee, and has coached U8 and U10 teams.
Zachary will major in biology at UConn, and is planning on a career in the medical field. He was a tri-captain of the high school boys soccer team, the referee assignor for the U8 and U10 in-town league, an in-town referee mentor, and coached U8 and U10 teams.
Congratulations again to this year’s well-deserving recipients. The North Haven Soccer Club would like to thank Frankie and Zach for their many years of involvement with the club and wish them well as they begin their college careers.
