Quinnipiac University to host summit on June 7 to report strategies and recommendations to address opioid crisis in Connecticut
Recommendations from law enforcement, counselors, city and town officials, medical professionals, criminal justice representatives and others will be reported during the day-long event.
Rep. Yaccarino, Bill to Increase Tax Abatement for Volunteer First Responders Passes House and Senate
The proposal would allow towns to increase the property tax abatement available to volunteer firefighters and other first responders at a level higher than the current $1,000.
In order to qualify, individuals must have had the PTSD come as a direct result of a qualifying event that occurred in the line of duty, and not due to any intervening factor or other source of stress.
The festival runs from 3PM to 10PM on Saturday, June 22 and 8AM to 7PM on Sunday, June 23. Admission is $12 and children under 12 are free.
