North Haven professor to perform mathematical magic show at Quinnipiac University on March 7

Nabel has been using math to entertain audiences for over 40 years. His presentation will feature mentalism effects, which he uses to read minds and demonstrate precognition.

Michael Nabel of North Haven, professor of mathematics at Quinnipiac University, will perform a mathematical magic show on Wednesday, March 7, at 5 p.m. in the Clarice L. Buckman Theater at Quinnipiac, 275 Mount Carmel Ave. This event is free and open to the public.

Nabel will perform the magic show at a meeting of the university’s chapter of Sigma Xi: The Scientific Research Society. Nabel has been using math to entertain audiences for over 40 years. His presentation will feature mentalism effects, which he uses to read minds and demonstrate precognition.

Nabel, who joined the Quinnipiac faculty in 1971, has a doctorate in operational research from New York University, a master’s degree in physics from Trinity College and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

He is a member of the Society of American Magicians and the Psychic Entertainers Association. He has performed at such venues as the Magic Castle in Los Angeles.
