Paul Cicarella, who is running as a Republican in his bid for the 34th District State Senate seat, has also earned the endorsement of the state’s Independent Party.

Our state needs leaders who will listen to all voices, who are not afraid to reach across the aisle and who will fight for common sense solutions to create opportunities for all people. I am honored that the Independent Party of Connecticut recognizes that I am committed to these goals. I will always put people above partisan politics.”
Paul Cicarella is a small business owner and former law enforcement officer who grew up in East Haven and currently lives in North Haven with his wife Christy who works as a nurse, their two children who attend North Haven public schools, and their two bulldogs. Cicarella is a member of the East Haven and Greater New Haven Chambers of Commerce and a sponsor and coach of youth athletics. He served as a wrestling coach for the East Haven High School Yellowjackets for 10 years and founded the Town’s first youth wrestling clinic. He is also a volunteer for organizations including Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and is a member of the North Haven Zoning Board of Appeals. After serving as a corrections officer, Cicarella founded Advanced Investigations, LLC, a private investigations agency. He is also the owner of National Bug Sweep and Advanced Installations, and serves as President of CT Private Investigators Association, CPIA and Director of National Council of Investigation and Security Services.

Cicarella is running to represent the 34th District in the State Senate including the towns of Durham, East Haven, North Haven and Wallingford.
