North Haven’s 225th Anniversary Fundraiser

AUGUST 16, 2010

In 2011, the Town of North Haven will celebrate the 225th anniversary of its incorporation, and the North Haven Republican Town Committee is kicking off the celebration early.  The group is organizing a fundraiser to honor the occasion and highlight this important milestone.

The kickoff event will take place on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Fantasia banquet hall on 404 Washington Avenue, North Haven, beginning at 1 p.m.  Participants will enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar in the garden, followed by a traditional turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a program to honor the town and its history.

According to event chairman, Gina Falcigno, an enthusiastic and dedicated committee is hard at work planning a special and memorable tribute to the town.  She explained, “We are initiating this commemoration a bit early in order to draw attention to the milestone and at the same time, to encourage other groups and organizations in town to incorporate some type of tribute into their planning for 2011.”  She continued, “It is very important to take a moment to reflect upon all of the generous individuals who together built a community that is rich in tradition and pride.”

Tickets, which are priced at $50.00 per person, can be purchased by calling Gina Falcigno at (203) 710-4307 or Rose Ann Warden at (203) 239-7531.  While all community members are welcome to attend, the event will serve as a fundraiser for the North Haven Republican Town Committee.  Since this is a sit-down dinner, reservations must be made in advance of the event.
