Fire Commissioner Peter Criscuolo, Jr. Secures Donation of 22 New Mattresses for North Haven Fire Department

This donation ensures that every firefighter on duty will have access to a new mattress, marking the first full replacement of station mattresses since the new firehouse was built 11 years ago.

The North Haven Democratic Town Committee is proud to recognize Fire Commissioner Peter Criscuolo, Jr. for his leadership and generosity in securing the donation of 22 high-quality mattresses for the North Haven Fire Department.

This donation ensures that every firefighter on duty will have access to a new mattress, marking the first full replacement of station mattresses since the new firehouse was built 11 years ago.

“Our firefighters put their lives on the line every day to protect our community,” said Tim Gabriele, DTC Chair. “Making sure they have a safe and comfortable place to rest between calls is not a luxury, it’s a necessity.”

Firefighters often work long, demanding shifts that require them to be ready to respond at a moment’s notice. Quality rest is essential to maintaining the focus, health, and readiness required for this critical work.

Commissioner Criscuolo’s efforts reflect a deep commitment to supporting the men and women who serve North Haven with courage and dedication.

“This is a meaningful investment in the well-being of our firefighters,” said Gabriele. “It’s a simple but impactful way to show appreciation for the work they do every day.”

The North Haven Democratic Town Committee extends its sincere thanks to Commissioner Criscuolo for making this long-overdue upgrade a reality.
