Sen. Cicarella Named a North Haven Sons & Daughters of Italy 2024 Distinguished Citizen

The award is the lodge’s highest honor, and was bestowed on Sen. Cicarella along with two additional members.

State Sen. Paul Cicarella (R-North Haven) accepts a 2024 North Haven Sons & Daughters of Italy (Lodge 2805) Distinguished Citizen Award from lodge president Susan Velleca at their 19th Annual Distinguished Citizen Award dinner on May 22 at Woodwinds in Branford. The award is the lodge’s highest honor, and was bestowed on Sen. Cicarella along with two additional members. He was recognized for his community service and his work serving as a Deputy Leader in the State Senate representing the 34th District. 

“Thank you to the members of Lodge 2805 for their 20 years of service to the greater North Haven area and for donating half of the lodge’s proceeds to student scholarships. I am extremely grateful to the members of the Sons & Daughters of Italy for this recognition as a son of Italian family. I thank them for sharing the proud traditions and Italian spirt with me, and as a father I continue to share those values with my children,” said Sen.
