North Haven Republican Town Committee Supports Successful Education Foundation Comedy Night

On April 5^th,  members of the North Haven Republican Town Committee (NHRTC) attended the North Haven Education Foundation’s (NHEF) Comedy Night, one of the nonprofit organization’s many “Fun and Funds” charity events. 

The Republican Town Committee Chairman Vincenzo Gallo and Treasurer Carolyn Yaccarino were joined by State Representative Dave Yaccarino, and Board of Police Commissioners Chairman and local business owner, Larry Lazaroff. The NHRTC was honored to contribute to this great cause, as the NHEF is fundamental to North Haven’s high-quality and continuously improving public school system.  

Reflecting on the evening, NHRTC Treasurer Carolyn Yaccarino shared, “We laughed until our cheeks hurt at this wonderful event filled with comedy and community, and we are so happy to be able to support such an important mission. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year.”

Overall, the event garnered a remarkable $13,000 for the Education Foundation. The generous donations will bolster the organization’s efforts to further support North Haven public schools in creative, innovative, and meaningful ways – beyond conventional school resources.

The North Haven Education Foundation provides funding to support and enhance educational initiatives in the district’s public schools and the community. Since its formation in 2004, the NHEF has helped bridge the gap between increased demands placed upon the school system and a decrease in federal and local educational funding. The Foundation accomplishes this by awarding grant money to encourage the innovation and establishment of educational projects that touch the lives of as many of our students as possible.
