Senator-elect Paul Cicarella Thanks Volunteers, Vinnie Penn for Running Stuff-A-Bus Event to Support CT Food Bank

The annual event benefits the Connecticut Food Bank and helps Connecticut families who struggle with hunger to share in the comfort of a holiday meal.

State Senator-elect Paul Cicarella (left) and State Senator George Logan (right) stopped by KC101’s 30th annual Stuff-A-Bus event hosted by Vinnie Penn (center) and iHeartRadio. The annual event benefits the Connecticut Food Bank and helps Connecticut families who struggle with hunger to share in the comfort of a holiday meal.

“I want to thank Vinnie Penn and the iHeartRadio community volunteers for the positive difference they are making for area residents during this holiday season,” said Senator-elect Cicarella. “Families across Connecticut are facing significant challenges. Unemployment is at record levels, and people are worried about providing for their families. It’s more important now than ever to help our neighbors through these difficult times. The Stuff-a-Bus event is a great way to give back and make a donation that will directly help a family this holiday season. CT Food Bank is doing incredible work and I thank them for supporting so many.”

The drive-thru food collection runs until 7 p.m. tonight at Hamden Plaza. Simply place your donations in your car’s trunk and volunteers will remove it for you. They are collecting frozen turkeys, monetary donations, and non-perishable food items, all to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank.

Those who wish to donate can do so online here or by visiting https://www.ctfoodbank.org/.

Paul Cicarella was elected earlier this month to serve in the State Senate representing the 34th District including the towns of Durham, East Haven, North Haven and Wallingford. Click here for more information.
