Rep. Yaccarino represents the 87th district covering North Haven.
Rep. Dave Yaccarino recently discussed with constituents issues facing Connecticut like taxes, budget deficits and cuts to the most vulnerable population – seniors, as well as residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Yaccarino, a member of the General Assembly’s committees on Finance, Revenue and Bonding, Public Safety and Security and Energy and Technology; but also the top Republican lawmaker on the legislature’s Veterans Affairs Committee, held a coffee hours meeting on Friday, April 10, at McDonalds on Washington Avenue. The informal gathering allowed constituents to bring their concerns to their representative, and it provided Yaccarino with an opportunity to bring local concerns back to the State Capitol in Hartford.
“Holding these monthly events is not just a campaign promise, it’s an essential part of my job,” Yaccarino said. “People share the same concerns about the state’s fiscal health and they want to know how state government is addressing them.”
Yaccarino added: “I really appreciate all those who take time to meet me during these events and I look forward to keeping the residents of North Haven updated as we get deeper into the legislative session.”
The first Friday of every month, Rep. Yaccarino and Sen. Fasano together host a “coffee hour” gathering at McDonalds on Washington Avenue from 8:00 am – 9:00 am. As part of his campaign commitment to North Haven five years ago, Yaccarino has vowed to be readily available to his constituents and hear their concerns.
