Ray Andrewsen, general manager of WQUN-AM 1220, to receive Hamden’s Citizen of the Year Award
A native of North Haven, Andrewsen has a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University. He has worked at WQUN for 20 years, during which time he has conducted thousands of interviews with community leaders and people of interest.
William Kohlhepp of North Haven elected president of the Physician Assistant Education Association board
Kohlhepp, who also is a tenured professor in Quinnipiac’s physician assistant studies program, has been on the PAEA board of directors since 2010.
Sen. Len Fasano Re-Elected State Senate Republican Leader; Sen. Kevin Witkos Named Senate Republican Leader Pro Tempore
Sen. Len Fasano represents the 34th Senate District communities of Durham, East Haven, North Haven and Wallingford. He has served as a state Senator since 2003 and was first elected to serve as Senate Minority Leader in 2014.
Quinnipiac University to honor veterans and celebrate the launching of its Center for U.S. Veterans Rehabilitation
This event is sponsored by the Joining Forces initiative in the Quinnipiac University School of Nursing, which was launched in 2013 as part of a national initiative to educate faculty and health professionals about the needs and issues faced by our veterans, and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital.
