Chief Deputy Senate Republican Leader Paul Cicarella (R-North Haven) today applauded the State Bond Commission’s approval of a $400,000 grant-in-aid to North Haven-based Goodwill of Southern New England, which serves area residents along with residents across south-central and eastern Connecticut. The funding will be used to purchase and outfit a vehicle for program service delivery.
“Thank you to the Governor and the Bond Commission for approving this important investment in Goodwill and its programs. Goodwill plays a vital role in helping people in need across North Haven and our region,” said Senator Cicarella. “This funding will improve transportation access for people searching for part-time work and job training. Supporting organizations like Goodwill helps ensure that people of all abilities can find meaningful employment and contribute to Connecticut’s workforce.”
