The North Haven Soccer Club is pleased and honored to rename the kickstart program to the James and Brenda Howlett Kickstart program. Jim and Brenda Howlett have given many years…weekends…and hours of dedication and service to the North Haven Soccer Club.
Jim’s first love was coaching. He spent many years teaching skills and tactics as well as cultivating a love of the sport in his athletes. His teams were taught to model great fundamentals, sportsmanship, and support for each other. Jim also served as our coaches director and our district representative. His knowledge of the game and patient demeanor helped to guide the North Haven Soccer Club during his time with it.
Brenda worked for years as the face of the North Haven Soccer Club. She was the director of the Kickstart and Clinic programs. Brenda also managed all of the scheduling and field maintenance for the club and made sure all of the coaches had the equipment they needed. From organizing the Friday Night Skills sessions to coordinating Memorial Day parades, Brenda was integral to the success of the North Haven Soccer Club.
Chris and Jenn Gaetano designed a beautiful logo for the James and Brenda Howlett Kickstart program, and all of the kickstart kids from this season on will wear kits that bear the Howlett’s names.
