A screening of the documentary, “Young@Heart,” will take place from 9-11:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the auditorium in the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences on the North Haven Campus of Quinnipiac University, 370 Bassett Road.

Directed by Stephen Walker, “Young@Heart” documents the true story of the final weeks of rehearsal for the Young At Heart Chorus in Northampton, Massachusetts, whose average age is 81. Many of the members must overcome health adversities to participate. The chorus goes against the stereotype of its age group, performing songs by James Brown and Sonic Youth. Although the Young At Heart Chorus has toured Europe and sung for royalty, this account focuses on its preparing new songs for a concert in its hometown, which succeeds in spite of several heart-breaking events.

The screening will be followed by a 25-minute discussion with audience members facilitated by Quinnipiac students.

This event is free and open to the public. To register, please visit www.quinnipiac.edu/youngatheart.  For more information, call 203-582-8652.
