Dr. Rebecca Zucconi appointed to the faculty of the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine

Dr. Rebecca Zucconi of Madison, who is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, has been named an assistant professor of medical sciences at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

Dr. Rebecca Zucconi of Madison, who is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, has been named an assistant professor of medical sciences at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University.

“I am delighted to have Rebecca as a member of our faculty,” said Dr. Bruce Koeppen, dean of the medical school. “Her training in obstetrics and gynecology enhances our ability to educate our students in this important discipline of medicine, but in the classroom, as well as in clinical settings.”

Zucconi said, “I am absolutely thrilled that a change in my career path has led me to this opportunity. As a burgeoning institute, the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine is uniquely positioned to train young physicians with a fresh and innovative curriculum, so that they may achieve a lifetime of professional success within the new paradigm of 21st century health care. Ultimately, our patients will benefit from the most compassionate and comprehensive care provided by our graduates.”

From 2003-2008, Zucconi was part of an obstetrics and gynecology practice in Suffolk County, N.Y., where she specialized in the woman’s reproductive tract, pregnancy and childbirth. Her subspecialties included general obstetrics and gynecology, general gynecology and general obstetrics.

Zucconi earned her medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Syracuse and completed her residency at Long Island Jewish Hospital. She also has a bachelor’s degree in English from SUNY Geneseo.

Zucconi is married to Dr. William Zucconi, an assistant professor of diagnostic radiology at the Yale Medical School, and they have three children, Dante, 11; Theo, 9; and Geneva, 7.

    I got very surprised when I read about Rebecca Zucconi. I knew her when I was her pool guy in Milford CT. I remember her kids. Nice family. She’s so nice person! Also,I didn’t know that she’s a Dr. Congratulations!!!
