Cronin Proposes Increase in Education Budget

In his first budget presentation before the Board of Education Thursday night, Superintendent of Schools Robert D. Cronin stuck close to his priorities for the school district.

Cronin, who will reach his one-year anniversary in North Haven in April, is asking for a $45.66 million budget for 2012-13, a 2.86 increase over the current $44.39 million.

Cronin in his budget kept in mind priorities to strengthen curriculum, instruction and assessment; provide high quality professional development and to increase the use of student data to guide decisions about teaching and learning.
