Ridge Road Elementary School presents “The Three Questions” – a musical based on John Muth’s adaptation of Leo Tolstoy’s short story. Conceived and developed by Julie Mountcastle and Jeff Rhone, the musical score was developed by then 5th grader Dan Galasso and composer Polina Nazaykinskya. The music is performed by the Yale School of Music.

Watch as Mike Freda is sworn in as the new First Selectman of the Town of North Haven, followed by his acceptance speech. Jenna Dower sings the National Anthem, and the Honorable Michael Brandt administers the Official Oath of Office.

The Inaugural Ceremony is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be held at the North Haven High School. The public is welcome to attend at no charge, encouraged to use the high school parking lot on Elm Street and advised to arrive early as seating is limited in the auditorium.

Michael Freda will be sworn in as the Town’s First Selectman, while Timothy Doheny and Stephen Fontana will take the oaths of office representing the Board of Selectmen. In addition, the newly elected Town Clerk/Tax Collector and Town Treasurer and the newly elected members of the Board of Finance, Board of Education, Board of Assessment Appeals, Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, Police Commission, Fire Commission and Constables will be sworn into office.

Those attending the ceremony are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items which will be donated to the Town of North Haven’s food bank in honor of the approaching holiday season.

As part of a school project on the landmarks and history of North Haven, my daughter was given the option of doing an extra-credit advertisement for the town. Her project was about the Town Green, and after reconstructing it out of cake and rice cereal treats for the main portion of the project, we threw together this commercial for her “challenge” homework.

This organization is comprised of approximately 1200 members. Business Manager and Secretary-Treasurer, Anthony J. Jodi Rell (R-Connecticut) at the Athena Diner II in North Haven. The three met with patrons at the restaurant to give them the opportunity to discuss issues important to North Haven.
