Less than 48 hours after receiving the Republican nomination for the position of First Selectman, Mike Freda held a press conference and campaign rally on the Town Green on Wednesday morning, July 29th.

After remarks from Lieutenant Governor Mike Fedele and Senate Minority Leader Pro-Tempore Len Fasano (R- North Haven, Wallingford and East Haven), Mike Freda laid out his campaign platform and challenged North Haven First Selectman Janet McCarty to multiple, live, unscripted debates.

The Democratic Town Committee nominated Janet McCarty to run for a 2nd term as Town First Selectman. Assistant Town Attorney Christopher Duby nominated McCarty and Board of Education member Alicia Clapp seconded the nomination. McCarty will face off against Michael Freda in November’s election.

As expected, the North Haven Republican Town Committee nominated Selectman Mike Freda for First Selectman.
