A diverse group of experts, including Dr. Reginald J. Eadie, president and CEO of Trinity Health Of New England and co-chair of the Governor’s Vaccine Advisory Group, will take part in the panel discussion, “COVID-19 Vaccines: Empowering our Communities and Informing your Decisions, Part II,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 7.
The virtual event, co-sponsored by Quinnipiac University and the town of North Haven, is free and open to the public.
Janelle Chiasera, dean of the School of Health Sciences, will moderate the discussion.
“The first part of our community conversation on Dec. 17 was very well attended, which reaffirmed to us the importance of being there to provide sound guidance to our community on one of the most pressing issues facing our country,” Chiasera said. “We are so honored to have Dr. Reggy Eadie joining us for our second conversation. His insight, guidance and first-hand experience serving on the Governor’s Vaccine Advisory Group will help provide the most up-to-date information for members of our community regarding COVID vaccine distribution within Connecticut.”
The community conversation will cover topics such as:
- Changes to the vaccine and the virus since the first webinar on Dec. 17
- Available vaccines and vaccines that are in the pipeline for approval
- Process and logistics regarding vaccine administration in Connecticut
- Vaccine questions and concerns
The panel also will include Quinnipiac’s Lisa Cuchara, professor of biomedical sciences; Maya Doyle, professor of social work; Dr. David Hill, professor of medical sciences, director of global public health and senior medical adviser for COVID-19; Jeffrey Mital, associate professor of biomedical sciences; Mario Norbis, professor of management; Mary Peterson, clinical assistant professor of nursing and director of the accelerated nursing program; and John Thomas, professor of law.
