Quinnipiac University will host  an information session for prospective students interested in its graduate nursing programs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the Center for Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Room 490, on the North Haven Campus, 370 Bassett Road.

The doctor of nursing practice program director and nurse anesthesia program director, as well as staff from the graduate admissions office, will be available to review the programs available and answer questions.

Students in the doctor of nursing practice program, which is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, select preparation as an advanced practice nurse in a specific topic area through a track program. They can choose from the post-bachelor’s tracks in adult-gerontology nurse practitioner, family nurse practitioner and nurse anesthesia.

For post-master’s students, they can choose from the nurse anesthesia, care of populations and nursing leadership tracks. The care of populations and nursing leadership tracks are offered online.

The nurse anesthesia program offers two options: a full-time, three-year post-bachelor’s DNP for registered nurses with critical care experience who wish to become nurse anesthetists and a part-time, two-year or three-year option for certified registered nurse anesthetists with a current master’s degree who would like to earn the DNP.

To register for the session, visit www.quinnipiac.edu/gradinfosession or call 203-582-8672.
